WHAT DOES PASTOR BJORNSTAD REALLY WANT?

HERE IS A LISTING:

1) Prayers and Prayers and more Prayers!

2) Everyone participating in the ministry of the congregation in at least ONE PARTICULAR WAY!

3) Contribute Memorials or other special and "over and above" donations to the missions fund.

It always seems to be a popular thing to contribute to the"things" of the church. You can put a plaque with "In memory of..." excetera on it. You can actually see the new carpet or the pew cusions, etc. Obviously there is nothing wrong with making improvements to the beauty of the church. This is in fact a GOOD thing! But I would also like to challenge individuals to think beyond funding "things", which have limited value in and of themselves, to the "ministry and mission" of the Gospel. In some ways donations and memorials of this kind just seems to disappear into thin air with no "lasting value" that is visible. But our vision is not cast long enough. Our reward for this kind of donation is the reward of heaven for so many people. Is there a greater reward than that?
