Who IS the
greatest? z
Matt.
18:1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus,
saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of
heaven?”
2 And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of
them 3 and said,
“Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like
children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest
in the kingdom of heaven.
How DO we
become the greatest? We often spend a lifetime striving to
answer that in our own ways according to our own
preferences. If you are an athlete, you train hard and win
olympic gold. If you are a politician, you run for
president. If you are a business man you grow a business...
And if you are a Christian? You humble yourself and become
like a child!
In other words, you trust your Father in heaven completely.
You jump off the ledge into His arms. You cry to Him. You
look up to Him. You learn from Him. He is your model for
life. You take his name and have your identity in Him.
You also take your joy in Him and Love Him. He is your all
in all, able to do everything you cannot!
He is, after all, your Creator and Redeemer. He is your
Savior!
Oh, how WONDERFUL it is to be his most beloved child.
