Known in our community
as the "Church at the Three Crosses," Peace Lutheran was
founded by God fearing families in 1917 who wished to
worship their Lord in their German tongue. Although today a
few of those charter member families are still represented
among the congregation, we have grown and changed down
through the years (no more German services!) Through
all those years our missionary aim has remained the same:
to proclaim to the world God's Word of salvation from sin
and death, celebrate the Sacraments, and Praise His Holy
Name.
Peace
Lutheran also has this goal: to work with the
community to make a difference where there is great need.
As Martin Luther said, "He who is justified performs good
works for this is the meaning of Scripture. Justification
precedes good works, and works are performed by those who
are justified."
